Microsoft feeds msnbc news not updating helpwithdating net
Note: It is unclear which versions of Internet Explorer are affected by the change.I noticed it on Internet Explorer 11 running on Windows 10.I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of pushing news feeds on to the New Tab Page, and that is regardless of the browser. It seems that companies like Google and Mozilla are also experimenting with this, and there is a likelihood that a similar feature will land in Chrome and Firefox in the near future. It displays only eight top sites, instead of ten as was the case on the old New Tab Page.Below that is the news section with news being pulled from MSN. The page does not display recently closed websites anymore which you find at the bottom of the previous New Tab Page.I've used the feeds gadget for years with no problems and if Windows itself is being designed to actively fight against all gadgets now, then posting on their usergroups will only result in "don't bother fixing it, just disable it." Does anyone have any further suggestions on how to fix this?
At the same time, MIcrosoft's website no longer hosts or supports gadgets.I try to open the file there with Open Office Calc (their spreadsheet program) but the file won't open. Microsoft Live Gallery seems to have discontinued all support for sidebar gadgets, meaning I can't go there anymore.Does anyone have further feedback on how to get the news feeds gadget updating again? A popup window showed all the installed gadgets and said, "There were no Windows or administrator gadgets to restore." The page you linked, says that those instructions are for gadgets that have crashed. I don't know if my answer is right or not, but it's my hunch.Microsoft did add an option to the previous page to enable the news feed, but no option to the new page to restore the old. Here is how you do it in Internet Explorer: The old page is used from that moment on again.
